Let’s identify some design services categories so that we can determine which one is a best fit for your idea:
- A personal item such as a jewellery or art piece that you would like. You can find examples of such things that I have developed and built.
- A personal item that you need to replace because it has been damaged and/or is now obsolete
- A personal item that you need that doesn’t currently exist, but can be fairly easily defined
- A mass market product idea that you want to take to the next level
The first 3 categories would, in most cases, be something that we can complete very economically and quickly. If your idea falls in the first 3, then you can jump down to the bottom to pop your great ideas into the form. The 4th category would require a more involved methodic set of processes, but its certainly in my purview. Please keep in mind that this is a Design Service; not a Business Development or Marketing Service. You’ll need to engage those expertise separately.
So.. if you’ve got a grand great idea and want to proceed towards a demonstration that you can show to prospective manufacturers, distributors, retailers, or licensees. That’s fantastic! Just one question, have you answered the 4 key indicators if you’re idea is ready? What’s that you ask?? The 4 key indicators are:
- Does the idea solve a common problem?
- Is there an established/large market?
- Is there a WOW factor?
- Can the idea be produced using standard commercial practice?
Now, many of you have likely watched a few episodes of either Dragon’s Den or Shark Tank. Certainly all of the candidates that make the cut for the show have most of these key indicators nailed, yet many still fail to attract the financing they need to establish an entry point into the market and then fill that demand with product.
The help and support that I can provide is the following:
- Prepare a groomed set of hierarchical requirements that’ll suss out the market demand fulfillment
- Prepare specifications that will distill the requirements into clear specifications
- Clearly define the Interfaces in sufficient detail that can permit multiple Teams simultaneously develop sub-systems and modules
- Ensure the design is adequately elaborated analytically to prove the performance at the interfaces
- Define testing methodologies and processes
Please take a few minutes to complete the form below. I’d love to hear from you to see how I can help to bring your inspiration to life.
