I thought I’d headline this category with an artistic gift that I created to commemorate my eldest son’s engagement to his fiancée Amrita. I created it based upon the theme of the celebration party invitation that they created and sent out electronically…not a single tree was harmed.

I wanted to incorporate the artistic elements of the invitation. I found the font interesting in part due to it being completely unique (or at least I couldn’t find a match). The rose was also a key artistic element that had to be included.

The front side is commemorating the proposal date. The back side is commemorating the party date. Note that the font on the back side is a standard stock. I was only able to customize the font alphanumerics that I had so….had to go stock on that. I thought the interlocked rings in an infinity symbol was fitting. For this rendering, I chose to use a basic plaster material mostly because it accentuates the embossed detail without having to fiddle with the lighting. For the build, I went with the basic clear resin which is my staple resin.
